The Panaderia

Every morning, Mom and I go on a morning walk up this street by El Bichito. I usually beat her to our destination, though, which is...
The Panaderia!! (That means the bakery, literaly the breadery.)

This is a view that you can see from the path that we walk up every morning for the bread. It's beautiful.

This is the panaderia window that we get the bread through. Did I tell you yet? Most things here are really cheeeep!

Below you see the picture of me walking in the plaza. This picture looks like a picture from a sad story right? But the plaza  is really the opposite of that. I'ts beautiful and nice, even though it's small. Big things in little packages, right?
This is a dog, one of the dogs all over Peru. It wants my food. No, I paid for that! Do you know English, dog?
On our way down, we see the Puyllucana School. Kids are always waiting to get in, becouse school hasn't started yet.
Now for Animal Time! These are some animals we usually see on our walk. Look at the dog. There are so many dogs here! And a few gatos (cats). Can you spot it?
I'm a chicken! We always see this big fat chicken on our way up. And guess what? It posed for the picture!
More chickens! Can you count them? Did you find all four of them?
How many animals are there in this picture? Ready for the answers yet? There is one dog, one pig, one duck, and two chickens. There are chickens all over, too!
Underneath this text you see the tienda (shop) across the street we go to after our walk every day to get yogurt.. They have lots of stuff, including treats. I have veinte soles (sol-ayes). Each yogurt is 5 soles. How many containers of yogurt can I get? You're right! Four containers of yogurt!
These are the different kinds of bread we get for our breakfast at the panaderia. The bigger kind is pan de agua, (bread of water), and the smaller kind is pan de torta (bread of cake). I have no idea why they call it that, but breakfast is always good with white bread and yogurt!

El Bichito: My Home

This is where I live, El Bichito. It means " The Little Bug" in Spanish.
Front door
 Back door

This is my parent's room. I have a window to their room. They have a  nice view out their window.

This is my brother Kai's room. He has a window to outside too. He plays a lot of music. Station 17, Music 24/7.

This is my window in my room, off to the left. It has the view out of my parent's room.
My room also has a window to the hall.

My room also has a window to the library/supplies room. My room has the most windows.

The bathroom! We have two bathrooms, that are twins. They're tiny.

Now for downstairs. What you see above this text is a big window that you can see through at the comedor (dining room). It's a nice view.

Beside this text, you see me in the comedor. They have four big tables for the kids that come here for lunch after school.

This is the motocar that is sometimes in the comedor.  I have no idea why it's there. Don't ask me!! The front is just like a motorcycle, but the back is a three-person seat. They're all over the place.

This is me in the kitchen, eating. Our food here is mostly this weird but delicious bread called pan de torta. We have that with yogurt for breakfast every day. Mmmm, mmmm!

Who's gonna wash the dishes? We have a sink, cold water, but no food disposal. We have to scrape all the food into the trash.

This is upstairs, where they're trying to build a biblioteca (a library). Pretty messy. Looks the same all the time. Don't think they're working much. Who needs to clean up their room?

Hey! One more set of stairs! Who put it there, where does it go to, and why is it there? Lets find out...

This is the water we wash our clothes with. Then we                                                                                     hang it up, old fashioned way.

This is still the roof, where I think they might be building too. Our Peruvian flag is where I'm running to. The roof always has a nice view, whatever the time of day.
Goodbye! I'm going back inside to work on my blog.

Cool Cajamarca

This is out the window of the plane, the first time that we saw the Andes mountains! The white things, I think they're clouds. But the mountains are pretty, even with the clouds.(I think they are a little bit prettier that way.)

We got off the airplane!! First step in Cajamarca!! They actually had a stairwell off the plane, instead of a jet way. That was pretty cool. Just like in the books.  Hey look! I'm Geronimo Stilton!

At the place that we are staying in for our trip, it's not that comfortable. I missed home already. But it also smells bad. It's because of garlic in the food storage room for the kids who come here for meals. But, I think I'll like it here.

Lima: Day 2

Here I am at Huaca Pucllana. The people even before the Incas built this pyramid. It must've been hard to build. It is a high pyramid. If you look closely, you can see the millions of bricks that went into this pyramid. The extra spaces are for earthquakes. If we have those spaces, the pyramid won't fall down during earthquakes.

How these people built these pyramids, I don't know. It must've taken a long time. And they used so much mud for the bricks. But they did it. Very amazingly, they built them.

Can you see the difference between some of the bricks? Some are restored, the better ones. The other ones are hand made by the people before the Incas. A lot of difference between the two.

These bricks are surely amazing. From the railing, as you can see, it kind of looks like a giant honeycomb. It is very cool to see what people millions of years before our time could do.

This is me with the "Most Important Person", as the guide said. I'm copying him. Ha ha. He is holding that stone to break the pottery the other people are making. Not for fun, but for a sacrifice to dedicate the new room they built or remodeled. Interesting, right?

Isn't the sea beautiful? This is the Pacific Ocean off of the Lima coast. What an experience for Coloradans like my family! There were people surfing even though it was seven o'clock!  I have to say, Peruvians are much different than Americans.

This is the most interesting wall by the sea. it is very long, and it has love words all over it (in Spanish). But it is fun to climb on the edge of the top of the wall. Two lovebirds...

TSUNAMI!!!! I will survive! (kind of... I'd be better off with going on the actual evacuation route... and that is what it says on the sign by the way.) If you go to my brother Talon's blog, you will see that he has this picture on his blog, too. Hang on for dear life!!

Lov'n Lima

This is ME, in the Plaza de Armas. With a HIGH VIEW. Who likes high views? I do. They're pretty. Always pretty. Always pretty in Peru.

Hey, well obviously I like to read! These gigantic books are actually choir books. They are so big so the whole choir can see them. You should really read this book!

AAHH! scary. Human skulls. I am in the catacombs underneath the gigantic cathedral at the Plaza de Armas. Francisco Pizarro was buried here! If you don't know who he is, Google it. (I wasn't really scared, though.)

This is ME at the PRESIDENTIAL PALACE. It's like being in Washington D.C, right outside the White House!!

Planes ROCK!!!!

Hey!!!

Right now I am on the plane to Peru! It is AWESOME!!!!!! First we went from Denver, CO to Los Angeles, CA. Los Angeles was very different from Denver. It had palm trees.

We had to switch planes in Los Angeles and we almost missed our flight to Peru.  We were running to catch the plane and we barely did.

We're going over the Pacific Ocean now.  AWESOME!! Because my big brother was sitting by the window, spotted an island!
Everybody is watching movies-except me. I'm READING!!-half of the time. There are these awesome screens on the back of everyone's seats- with a table! The plane I am currently on, going to Lima Peru has a TV, music, games and more on one screen! It has a table, reading lights, (AWESOME!) reclining comfortable chairs, cup holders, and pillows and blankets!! This ROCKS!!!!!

And I brought candy! (Werther's Originals, tic-tacs, whoppers, gummy fish, rolos) What could be better than this?!?!?!? Hmm, I wonder...

CUZCO!!! PERU!!! OH YEAH!!!! And now that I'm in Lima, LIMA!!!! Good night. You should totally come! I am SOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!  (We didn't end up getting to bed at our hotel until after 3 am--I was and am soooo tired. Couldn't get to sleep on the airplane at all.)
